Job summary

ACMoate Industries Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our paving crew. You will operate the screed on the paving machine to deliver a smooth, level asphalt surface while coordinating with teammates to meet project specifications.

The ideal candidate has proven screed experience, reads plans, adheres to safety rules, and can work outdoors in varying weather. A valid driver's license is preferred; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Asphalt Screed Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and schedule.
• Commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate the screed on the asphalt paving machine to lay asphalt to the desired width and depth.
• Monitor asphalt temperature and flow for a uniform surface.
• Adjust screed settings to achieve specified grades and slopes.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the screed and paving machine.
• Collaborate with the paving crew to ensure efficient, quality work.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate with project manager and crew members.
