Job summary

Gray & Son Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our construction team.

You will operate the screed and related equipment to lay asphalt according to plan and quality standards, while supporting other crew members as needed. This role requires attention to detail, safety, and the ability to adapt to site conditions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt screed to apply asphalt per plan and quality specifications as instructed by crew superintendent to insure daily schedules/estimates are met.
• Ability to operate or initiative to learn to operate other equipment required on an asphalt crew.
• Ability to operate asphalt paver/screed within designated area with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship.
• Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of machine spreads and levels asphalt on subgrade of highway and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
• Any other duties assigned by your Foreman and Superintendent.
