Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Central Texas is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator to join the crew. You will operate and maneuver the asphalt roller, tamping and smoothing asphalt to create a level, durable surface under the foreman's guidance.

Qualifications

• 1 year or less experience in asphalt or construction.
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Positive, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work with others in a group or one-on-one.
• Promote and follow safety policies.
• Work safely to avoid injuries.
• Maintain communication with team and foreman.
• Collaborate with project teams as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run, maneuver, and drive the asphalt roller machine.
• Inspect equipment before and after shift.
• Maintain safety and awareness around others.
• Perform general laborer duties on asphalt paving.
• Assist with shoveling, raking, and handling small tools.
• Clean and organize equipment at shift end.
• Operate small power tools when required.
• Signal equipment operators for alignment.
• Assist with placement, moving, and dismantling traffic control devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
