Job summary

Edw. C. Levy Co. is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator to work at our Saginaw and Flint, MI locations. The Operator will operate paving and rolling equipment.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, patching support, grade verification, and coordinating with office staff. CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred, or ability to obtain one; equal opportunity employer; training available.

Qualifications

• Operate grading and rolling equipment safely and effectively.
• Understand material properties and proper handling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Good communication with crew and office, and follow directions.
• Read and write in English; valid CDL with tanker style endorsement or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Shovel asphalt for patching and paving crews and assist as needed.
• Perform daily machine inspections, greasing, oiling, and fueling.
• Communicate with office and field personnel to coordinate work.
• Inspect grade and elevations to ensure accuracy.
• Assist maintenance personnel with repairs and upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
