Job summary

Sunbelt Asphalt Surfaces, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our Operations team.

The role focuses on operating self-propelled and pull-type rollers to achieve proper compaction and density for asphalt surfaces, while following safety rules and job site procedures. The successful candidate will monitor gauges, perform light mechanical adjustments, help with lubrication and fueling, and assist the crew with related duties such as site preparation and traffic-safe

Qualifications

• Experience operating self-propelled or pull-type asphalt rollers.
• 3 months to 12 months in operating asphalt rollers.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt roller to achieve compaction and densities as specified.
• Check fluids, monitor gauges, and maintain equipment during shift.
• Assist with lubrication, fueling, and minor repairs as needed.
• Assist crew with related duties such as laying asphalt and site prep.
• Maintain clean and orderly equipment and work area.
