Job summary

Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. seeks an experienced Roller Operator to join our Tucson team and manage asphalt compaction equipment on a variety of paving projects.

The role requires the ability to operate rollers, inspect and maintain gear, and collaborate with contractors while upholding Sunland's safety standards. A clean driving record and willingness to travel are preferred, with pre-employment drug and background checks conducted.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write English is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel to any and all jobsite without exception (including staying away from home if necessary).
• A current driver's license is preferred.
• Must have a clean motor-vehicle record if operating a Company vehicle.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate the roller and other heavy equipment for paving projects/jobs.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate and work with contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to complete job.
• Serve as front-line Company representative and provide excellent service to the customer and public.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site each day.
