Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator for the Northern Middle Tennessee Division around Madison, TN. The role requires prior experience with asphalt rollers or similar heavy equipment and a strong commitment to safety.

This full-time position may include some night or weekend work. Wages start at $24.00 per hour, with higher compensation based on experience, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company matching.

Qualifications

• Safety focus and compliance with site rules.
• Experience operating asphalt rollers or similar heavy equipment.
• Drug and alcohol testing compliance required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Shift flexibility including nights/weekends/overtime.
• Clear communication and time management.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, clean, maintain and report malfunctions to Supervisor/Foreman.
• Monitor asphalt temperatures and vibration usage for proper breakdown and finish rolling.
• Observe material distribution and adjust machine settings or material flow; indicate low spots for material addition.
• Promote and adhere to the safety program across employees, subcontractors and consultants.
• Participate as a team member and provide technical/administrative support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Foreman.

Job Description

Rogers Group is seeking an individual for the position of ASPHALT ROLLER OPERATOR in our Northern Middle Tennessee Division located in and around Madison, Tennessee. The successful candidate for this role will have previous experience operating an asphalt roller or similar heavy equipment, and an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Job Details

• Full time
• Day shift- some night time or weekend work required
• Location: Madison, TN area
• Wages starting at $24.00/hr. Higher compensation based on experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, maintain and make minor equipment repairs or report malfunctions to Supervisor/Foreman.
• Monitor asphalt temperatures and vibration usage for proper breakdown and finish rolling of asphalt.
• Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
• Participate as a vital team member and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Foreman.

Qualifications

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Previous experience operating an asphalt roller or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
• Ability to work outdoors which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, to include nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• CDL license preferred, but not required.
