Job summary

CWR Contracting, Inc. is looking for a Certified Asphalt Quality Control Lab Technician for their operations in Pensacola, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting road construction materials while ensuring compliance with DOT and customer specifications. Applicants should have some experience in asphalt production or quality control, and be able to adapt to changing priorities. The role requires certification within 90 days and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-6 months experience in asphalt production or quality control strongly preferred.
• CTQP Plant Level 1 and 2 certifications required after 90 days.
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for testing and inspection of road construction materials, paving techniques, and equipment.
• Ensures manufactured asphalt meets DOT, customer, and job specifications.
• Performs data collection and reporting.

Skills

Knowledge of industry standards and testing procedures for asphalt products

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience in asphalt production or quality control

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
