Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Certified Asphalt Quality Control Lab Technician for its Florida operations.

You will test and inspect Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Granular Base Course (GBC), analyze data, and ensure materials meet DOT, customer, and job specifications. Essential duties include data collection and reporting, corrective actions for non-conforming products, documentation control, and supporting mix design changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt production or quality control preferred
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Must meet Florida MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
• Complete all required paperwork efficiently

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect road construction materials including HMA and GBC
• Analyze test data and take corrective action for non-conforming products
• Ensure asphalt meets DOT, customer, and job specifications
• Assist in mix design development and changes in plant production
• Document and control data; report results
• Follow all safety requirements
