Job summary

R and D Sweeping and Asphalt Maintenance is seeking a seasoned Project Manager / Estimator to lead estimating, coordination, and management of paving and asphalt replacement projects. You will support customer relationships and business development while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires strong estimating background, project management skills, and the ability to supervise crews, track costs, and communicate effectively with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in the asphalt industry is required.
• Estimating experience required, including bid preparation and cost estimation.
• Project management experience including scheduling, coordination, and client communication.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to read plans and assess job scopes and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for asphalt maintenance, paving, patching, and related projects.
• Review job scopes, site conditions, material needs, labor and equipment costs.
• Manage projects from bidding to completion, scheduling and closeout.
• Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, vendors, and crews.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
• Track costs, change orders, and progress for profitability and reporting.
• Assist business development by identifying leads and follow-ups.
• Visit job sites to review work and support field operations.
• Promote safe work practices and adherence to standards.
