Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division in Florida is seeking a semi-skilled maintenance worker for asphalt plant equipment. The role focuses on maintaining production lines, inspecting parts, and performing repairs.

Candidates should have mechanical knowledge, welding skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. CDL Class B is preferred but not required, with a strong safety mindset and reliable attendance expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of asphalt plant repairs is a plus.
• Examine parts for damage or wear and perform repairs.
• Weld broken parts and components as needed using stick welding.
• Possess a Class B CDL - preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Thorough mechanical knowledge of asphalt plant production and related equipment.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
• Analyze malfunctions and repairs.
• Weld broken parts and structural members as necessary using stick welding.
• Lubricates and cleans parts; maintain plant systems and plumbing.
