We’re looking for a reliable Asphalt Plant Operator to run and maintain our asphalt plant in Varnville, SC. You’ll make sure materials are mixed correctly, equipment runs safely, and production stays on schedule. This role is essential to producing top-quality asphalt for our paving projects.

Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the asphalt plant safely and efficiently

Start up, run, and shut down the plant as scheduled

Adjust controls for proper material flow, mix quality, and temperature

Load asphalt trucks using computerized plant controls

Perform daily maintenance and clean-up of plant equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make minor repairs

Report any equipment or safety issues immediately

Follow all company, DOT, OSHA, and DHEC safety standards

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

2+ years of industrial or plant experience (asphalt preferred)

Strong mechanical, communication, and troubleshooting skills

Able to use Microsoft Office and plant control systems

Experience with hand tools, welding machines, and cutting torches

Comfortable working at heights over 50 ft and in temperatures from 40°F–110°F

Willing to work all shifts — days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and DHEC regulations is a plus
