Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to join our team.

This full-time role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on coordinating work and resources for manufacturing hot mix asphalt and aggregate products, with attention to cost, quality, and schedule. The ideal candidate has general construction or mining industry experience, specifically with metal fabrication, forging, and/or erecting experience to include crane work, and strong time management and

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication, forging, or erecting with crane work.
• Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends.
• Ability to supervise crews and manage schedules.
• Understand OSHA safety standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Manager with calculations of hours, materials, and resources for efficient operation.
• Help develop work schedules and determine manpower, material, trucking and equipment needs.
• Supervise crew to optimize production while following safety standards and policies.
• Report potential problems and assist with resolution.
• Maintain and operate or supervise equipment usage for safe plant operations.
• Generate field logs and monitor material usage and man-hours.
• Assist with employee management including hiring, training and discipline as instructed by HR.
• Operate loading equipment as needed and follow safety procedures.
