Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is hiring an Asphalt Plant Manager to oversee all plant operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will coordinate with Area Managers to ensure the Production Plan and Maintenance Plan are executed correctly, while maintaining OSHA standards and safety principles.

The role requires at least 2 years in a production environment, site-specific training, and strong leadership to drive production and quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a Production Environment.
• Site-specific training and equipment training.
• Weekly plan forecast and inspections.
• Maintenance and production logs, timecard approvals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Welfare of crew and OSHA standards are met or exceeded.
• Administer Quikrete Safety Principles.
• Maximize plant production and ensure quality per specs.
• Oversee site activities and coordinate with subcontractors on repairs as needed.
• Enter logs and maintain daily/weekly production plans and schedules.
• Manage plant maintenance and production programs.
• Coordinate with paving foreman and QC for correct quantities and quality of HMA.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Health and Welfare of the crew and ensuring the site meets or exceedsOSHAStandards
• Responsible for the administration of theQuikreteSafety Principles
• Responsible for obtaining the maximum production at the plant
• Ensuresthat qualitySite Manageris responsible forALL site activities.
• Products are being produced within internal and external specifications
• Approvestimecards
• Entersmaintenance logs, production logs, etc.,intothecomputer system
• MakesaPlant Maintenanceand ProductionProgram
• Makes theDailyProductionand Maintenance Schedule(including but not limited to daily maintenance projectsandmixproduction asneededbased onsales)
• Parts requisitions
• Coordinates with OutsideContractors on Equipment Repairs as needed
• Coordinates with the Shop on Mobile Equipment Repairs
• Responsible forKnowing the Site Financials andAchievingBudget Goals
• Coordinateswith PavingForemanand QCto provide correct quantities and quality of HMA
• Scheduling of Crew based on ProductionandMaintenance needs within Available Operating Hours

• Equipment is to beoperatedsafely and efficiently, operatorshall alwaysmaintaincontrol of the equipment
• Cab/control houseshall be kept clean, wiped down, and maintained; control house and plant are considered equipmentand should be treated to the samestandards as yellow iron
