Scotty's Contracting and Stone, LLC is a subsidiary of Houchens Industries and participates in an ESOP, providing employees with a retirement plan through profit sharing.

Description:

• Set up and maintain the asphalt plant
• Load and unload materials
• Shovel and rake dirt, gravel, and asphalt
• General cleanup around the plant
• Operate small equipment such as skid steers
• Operate Dump Trucks (off-road) for hauling and dust management
• Perform maintenance on equipment and tools
• Assist others as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions (cold, heat, humidity)
• Comfortable working at heights
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Work independently and stay motivated

Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: Outdoors, with exposure to uneven terrain, dust, dirt, and weather variations
• Proximity Hazards: Work safely near heavy mobile equipment
• Climbing: Safely climb mobile equipment over 10 feet high and ladders up to 100 feet
• Balance: Maintain stability on slick and uneven surfaces
• Vision: Corrected 20/40 vision to detect hazards and equipment
• Positions: Ability to get into and out of sitting/kneeling positions on uneven ground
• Heavy Lifting: Up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Hearing: Corrected hearing to perceive safety warnings
