PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This role involves various duties around the facility, including general labor, equipment operation, and plant maintenance. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Work effectively in a team environment with co-workers and managers.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment, including using ladders to access platforms.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as bobcats, skid steer loaders, and wash-down hoses.
• Report issues promptly to your manager.
• Maintain constant eye contact when backing up, using hand signals or other communication methods with co-workers.
• Perform miscellaneous duties like shoveling, equipment maintenance, and assisting crew members as needed.
• Possibly perform welding and fabrication duties.
• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, responding appropriately.
• Follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Adhere to all safety policies, OSHA, and MSHA regulations.
• Follow foreman’s directions regarding daily tasks and project expectations.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Assist in training less experienced employees in equipment operation, servicing, and repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
• Complete a pre-employment physical demonstrating fitness for work.
• Provide valid documentation for I-9 verification.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude at all times.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when needed.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
• Arrive at work on time and work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures and policies.
• Willingness to work in a team and assist co-workers and supervisors.
• Wear PPE in designated areas as per OSHA/MSHA standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous construction experience or training preferred.
