Job summary

Staker Parson Companies is hiring an Asphalt Groundsperson to support asphalt plant operations. The role involves performing a variety of manual tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety compliance under supervisor guidance. You will work at heights and operate equipment such as loaders and skidsteers during production.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability. Candidates should be prepared for night shifts and seasonal plant readiness tasks in a heavy construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related experience in construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily THINK/TRACK meetings and weekly safety meetings.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations.
• Ensure a safe work environment and use appropriate tools and equipment.
• Assist in plant production and maintain plant and equipment condition.
• Walk the asphalt plant during production to identify issues and perform pre-checks.
• Operate front end loader, skidsteer, and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Perform plant maintenance and shutdown procedures at season start and end.
• Work night shift and contribute to site cleanup and material deliveries.
