Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an Asphalt Plant Foreperson to lead day-to-day operations of an asphalt manufacturing facility. You will focus on safety, productivity, scheduling, and quality while mentoring crews and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plant operations, team leadership, and safety management—preferably in asphalt or related industries.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and operational data to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead asphalt manufacturing operations in a safe, productive, and efficient environment.
• Champion proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety practices and regulations.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Deliver world-class customer service and timely scheduling for internal and external clients.
• Oversee budgeting, production planning, staffing, and maintenance activities.
• Manage production teams and optimize equipment and facility use; drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze operating and financial reports to maximize plant profitability.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage procurement within budget.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and collaborate with accounting.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members; foster growth and excellence.
• Maintain environmental compliance and fulfill reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with other units to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
