Job summary

CRH plc is seeking an Asphalt Plant Foreperson to oversee all aspects of an asphalt manufacturing facility in Kansas. You will manage people, processes, and production to deliver quality products and excellent service while fostering a strong safety culture.

The role requires leading teams, ensuring safety compliance, budgeting, scheduling, and continuous improvement to maximize plant performance. Travel and night/weekend flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of asphalt manufacturing operations safely and efficiently.
• Promote proactive safety culture and enforce practices.
• Develop and execute production strategies to meet goals.
• Ensure on-schedule delivery for internal and external customers.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, and maintenance activities.
• Manage teams, optimize equipment use, and drive improvements.
• Analyze reports to maximize plant profitability.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and manage procurement.
• Coordinate inventory with accounting and ensure accuracy.
• Mentor and develop team members; support growth.
• Maintain environmental compliance and reporting.
