Job summary
Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions in Halstead, KS is seeking a full-time Facility Operator to join a tight-knit team that delivers high-quality asphalt binder. You will work in the tank farm, support loading/unloading, testing, data entry, and routine maintenance while following safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Excel preferred.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons.
- Willingness to work varied days/hours, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and railcars.
- Test products in the lab and input quality data into reports.
- Sample product quality and ensure batch specifications.
- Conduct minor maintenance on plant equipment.
- Attend daily production/quality/EHS meetings.
- Operate in the tank farm as part of a team.
- Maintain good facility housekeeping and safety practices.
- Wear PPE and communicate across teams to meet needs.
