Ergon, Inc. is hiring a Facility Operator for the Halstead, KS facility. You will operate in a team-focused tank farm environment, producing asphalt oil, ensuring quality, and loading/unloading materials for customers.

The role emphasizes learning new skills, reliability, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards. The ideal candidate has basic math skills, reads and follows instructions, and can operate without supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Excel preferred.
• Ability to work without supervision and follow written instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to learn computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing products in the lab.
• Input quality specifications and batch data into reports.
• Sample product quality.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars.
• Conduct minor maintenance on plant equipment (pumps, racks, mixers).
• Attend daily production/quality/EHS meetings.
• Follow safety procedures and use provided PPE.
• Maintain good facility housekeeping.
• Stay current on required training.
