Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Texas is hiring a Pelican Plant C Operator to support the Plant, Maintenance, and Management Teams with high-level operations and minimized downtime. The role requires experience with asphalt processing, loading, and shipping, and a strong commitment to safety and quality control.

The candidate will monitor plant standards, address issues, and ensure safe practices for all employees on site. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Industrial experience in an industrial setting, asphalt field preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds at chest height.
• Climb to heights up to 40 feet.
• Able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Must adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.
• Effective communication within a team and with management.

Responsibilities

• Train in facility processes and SOPs.
• Load/unload tank trucks carrying liquid asphalt.
• Gauge above-ground storage tanks up to 40 feet.
• Perform rounds and record data with an iPad.
• Operate a sit-down forklift and unload shipping containers.
• Assist in barge loading/unloading.
• Attend safety meetings and training annually.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper equipment storage.
• Collaborate with teams to address production issues.
