Lone Star Paving, a leading paving contractor in Texas, seeks a Pelican Plant C Operator to ensure smooth plant operations, oversee loading, shipping, and maintenance with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role requires physical work, climbing, forklift use, and coordination with management.

Candidates should have industrial experience, familiarity with asphalt operations, and a strong safety record. The position is full-time, with overtime and travel across Texas as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial setting, preferably asphalt.
• Ability to operate and handle hand and power tools effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for field issues.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to procedures.
• Good time management and ability to multitask.
• Professional communication with co-workers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Train in facility processes and SOPs.
• Load/unload tank trucks carrying liquid asphalt.
• Gauge and monitor storage tanks from heights.
• Record data during rounds using an iPad.
• Operate a sit-down forklift and unload containers.
• Assist with barge loading/unloading and safety training.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; report concerns.
• Collaborate with management to resolve production issues.
• Keep work area clean and equipment secured at day’s end.
• Support other projects as needed to meet client needs.
