Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a skilled laborer for heavy civil asphalt milling and paving work in Maryland. The role includes shoveling, operate tools, and performing various manual tasks with safety as the priority. Overnight stays and night/weekend shifts occur during the milling season.

The position requires a valid driver's license, ability to work in all weather, and good MVR. CDL and TopCon/grade-control experience are a plus, as is 2+ years of related work experience.

Qualifications

• GED / HS Diploma is a plus.
• Trade School is a plus.
• Penndot Paving QC Technical experience is a plus.
• TopCon or similar grade control experience is a plus.
• CDL (A, B, Tanker, Hazmat) is a plus.
• Tack Truck experience is a plus.
• 2 yrs of related work experience is a necessity.
• Active, valid Driver's License required.
• Good Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs shoveling, raking, luting, jack hammering, heavy lifting and use of small tools for asphalt milling and paving.
• Cleans tools, materials and work areas.
• Performs a wide variety of manual tasks with fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
• Adheres to safety policies to protect self and crew.
• Communicates clearly with crew for safety and daily goals.
• Operates diverse specialized tasks depending on crew specialty.
