You will work as part of a paving crew, performing tasks from surface prep to traffic control, with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to project success in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in asphalt paving or construction preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of road and traffic regulations.
• Comfortable with physical labor and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and push/pull 50-pound loads.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for paving (sweeping, cleaning, tack coat).
• Shovel, rake, and level hot mix asphalt.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment (plate compactors, tampers, brooms).
• Support paving machine by feeding asphalt and maintaining flow.
• Ensure proper compaction and smoothness of asphalt.
• Maintain a clean, safe work zone and follow safety guidelines.
• Direct traffic near work zones and assist with load/unload tasks.
• Perform daily equipment and tool checks and maintenance.
