Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior asphalt paving or construction experience preferred but not required.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of surfaces for paving (sweeping, cleaning, tack coat).
• Shovel, rake, and level hot mix asphalt.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment.
• Feed asphalt to paving machines and maintain workflow.
• Ensure proper compaction and smoothness of asphalt.
• Maintain a clean and safe work zone following safety guidelines.
• Follow foremen and supervisor instructions.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at the job site.
• Perform daily equipment and tool checks and maintenance.
