Reeves Construction Company seeks an experienced Asphalt Paver Screed Operator based in Savannah, GA. The role requires a strong focus on safety. The primary responsibility is to adjust the screed height to ensure proper depth, grade, and finish, and to maintain consistency and ride quality of the asphalt pavement.
Qualifications: Must be able to perform all duties satisfactorily. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience/training or equivalent.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and write routine reports.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense instructions; solve problems involving concrete variables.
Physical Demands: Climb onto equipment, operate for hours, withstand vibrations/noise, manual tasks, lift up to 60 pounds, and have good vision and hearing.
Work Environment: Exposure to moving parts, weather, fumes, noise, and potentially hazardous conditions. Noise level is usually very loud.
