Job summary

Cincinnati Asphalt in Harrison, Ohio is seeking an Asphalt Milling Operator to perform precision surface removal on commercial and roadway projects. You will operate heavy milling machines, adjust depth and grade, and coordinate with the ground crew to ensure clean transitions and timely progress.

The role requires at least 2 years of milling experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel up to 10–20% for nearby projects.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of proven experience operating asphalt milling machines.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read grade stakes, plans and technical work orders.
Flexible to travel 10–20% for projects outside the local area.
Physically capable of outdoor work and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy asphalt milling machines safely and efficiently according to project specs.
Adjust depth, grade, and slope using grade controls and conveyors.
Perform pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance.
Coordinate with ground crew and foreman to optimize removal and loading.
Monitor milling patterns to prevent pavement defects and hazards.
Maintain situational awareness on active job sites and document logs.
