Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Luteman Operator in our Asphalt division. The role involves hand-grading and finishing asphalt to meet line, grade, and surface requirements while supporting the paving crew to maintain a smooth mat.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of asphalt luteman experience, knowledge of paving procedures, and the physical stamina for outdoor work. Daily travel and strict safety adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as an asphalt luteman in the paving industry.
• Daily travel required, must have reliable transportation.
• Physically capable of performing labor-intensive outdoor work.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures, materials, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Hand-grade and shape asphalt to achieve proper line, grade, and cross-slope.
• Assist in fine-finishing around edges, joints, curbs, and utilities.
• Work with paver and roller operators to ensure a smooth, uniform mat.
• Identify and correct surface imperfections and ensure consistent depth.
• Follow project specs, safety and quality standards.
