Job summary

CRH is seeking a full-time general laborer for road construction in Alabama. The role involves a wide range of labor tasks on heavy highway projects, including shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, and concrete work on both heavy highway and production crews.

Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, pass a physical, and have basic tool knowledge and math skills. Prior construction experience is preferred; attendance and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in heavy highway construction preferred.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)

Responsibilities

• General labor on road construction projects on a heavy highway crew or a production crew, including shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, strips and cleaning concrete forms, pouring concrete, shoveling, vibrating, and maintaining good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Experience working around asphalt and equipment operating skills would be beneficial.

Experience working around Asphalt and equipment operating skills would be beneficial.
