SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking self-motivated, dependable, hard-working Asphalt Laborer to join our team. A successful candidate should be able to work in a crew environment and have some general knowledge of asphalt and/or underground utility installation.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Shovel and lute asphalt
• Follows and understands project instructions and plans from supervisors
• Assists with installation of new pipes in trench for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains
• Demonstrate working knowledge of paving and underground utility installation
• Follows all safety regulations when operating equipment and wears appropriate PPE on site (proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothes)
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a crew-based environment
• Previous asphalt paving experience; screed experience is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
• Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
