Job summary

Keeley Companies in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to join our Paving Group. You will perform paving, patching, prep work, and sealcoating tasks to support crews and ensure quality finishes on site.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in construction with asphalt paving or sealcoating experience and a commitment to reliable attendance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the construction industry, with asphalt paving and/or sealcoating preferred.
• Experience with surface prep and material application is a plus.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform asphalt paving, patching, prep work and sealcoating tasks on sites.
• Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, etc.) to support crews and ensure quality finishes.
• Assist with sealcoat application, spreading and edging for full coverage.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and operate small power tools when needed.
• Direct equipment operators safely and help set up traffic control devices in work zones.

We are currently seeking an Asphalt Laborer to join our Paving Group in Phoenix, AZ.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks related to asphalt paving, patching, prep work, and sealcoating, including surface preparation and material application.
• Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and other small equipment to support paving and sealcoat crews.
• Assist with the application of sealcoat, including spreading, edging, and ensuring proper coverage and a quality finish.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment as needed.
• Operate small power tools when required.
• Safely direct equipment operators to support proper alignment, movement, and placement of materials.
• Help set up, relocate, and remove traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, and cones.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards, maintaining strong job site awareness.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent communication with team members and supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the construction industry, with asphalt paving and/or sealcoating experience preferred.
