Job summary

A TO Z PAVING COMPANY LLC is looking for a hardworking Asphalt Laborer in Brookneal, Virginia. The candidate will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt surfaces, working outdoors in variable weather conditions. Responsibilities include operation of tools, surface preparation, and routine maintenance of equipment. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy materials, and drug test clearance are required. Salary is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous asphalt or construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of surfaces for asphalt installation.
• Operate hand and power tools to remove old asphalt and prep surfaces.
• Assist with the installation of new asphalt surfaces.
• Support repair work on existing asphalt areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman.

Job Summary

Job Summary : We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Asphalt Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt surfaces. This position works under the supervision of the Foreman and plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. Candidates must be able to shovel for extended periods and handle physically demanding work. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS INCLUDING EXTREAM HEAT!

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of surfaces for asphalt installation
• Operate hand and power tools to remove old asphalt and prep surfaces
• Assist with the installation of new asphalt surfaces
• Support repair work on existing asphalt areas
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and job site guidelines
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman

Requirements

• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS INCLUDING EXTREAM HEAT
• Previous asphalt or construction experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working outdoors
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Working Conditions

This position is primarily outdoors and involves working in various weather conditions. Hours may vary and can include long days and weekends depending on project demands. The role requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and operating tools.
