Position Summary

This role operates the Asphalt Distributor Truck on roadway construction projects. Must hold a current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Asphalt Distributor Truck, setting spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi‑automatic distributors.
• Oil, grease, service equipment and perform normal operating adjustments.
• Maintain equipment in efficient working condition; perform minor servicing and maintenance or report major problems to supervisor.
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions.
• Pass DOT physical/drug screen.

Qualifications

• Current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement.
• Ability to learn operation of Asphalt Distributor Truck.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Basic reading comprehension of simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
