Job summary

Salamander Collection in Aspen, CO is seeking a West End Social Cook 1 to join a fast-paced kitchen team. The role pays $24–$28 per hour, full-time regular labor, and requires reading recipes, maintaining sanitation, and supporting the culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have knife skills, English fluency, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification is a plus. Expect standing shifts, teamwork, and weekends based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (spoken, written, and read) is required.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Certified cook or higher level preferred.
• Ability to read recipes and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in accordance with standardized recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations.
• Set up and break down the workstation based on par levels and daily production needs.
• Ensure all cooking equipment is clean, functioning, and ready for service.
• Check station par levels and prepare additional items as needed to meet service demands.
• Communicate production progress to the chef.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including HACCP documentation.
