Job summary

Cobb County School District is seeking an ASP Student Apprentice at Mountain View Elementary School in Marietta, GA. Open to a current high school student aged 16 or older. Starting date: August 3, 2026. Reports to the ASP Director and supports ASP staff and instructors as needed.

Salary follows the ASP Salary Schedule. Requirements include CPR and First Aid certification; no prior experience is required. Must have good written and verbal communication and the ability to follow directions.

DEPARTMENT: Alternative Education Programs

SALARY SCHEDULE: ASP Salary Schedule

REPORTS TO: ASP Director

WORK DAYS: As needed

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides assistance, under supervision, to ASP director, instructors and/or assistant instructors.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Educational Level: High School student, no diploma required; must be at least 16 years of age
2. Certification/License Required: Must be certified in CPR and First Aid
3. Experience: None
4. Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication, ability to follow directions

The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
