Job summary

The candidate will read layouts and blueprints, select electrodes, and operate welding equipment while performing routine inspections and adjustments to meet specifications. On-site position with exposure to PPE requirements and physical lifting tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must hold and maintain a current ASME certification.
• 1–2 years of Hand Arc Welder experience or relevant certificate/Associate degree in Welding Technology.
• Frequent manual handling and lifting requirements indicated by job duties.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal components using electric arc-welding equipment per layout, blueprints, diagrams, or instructions.
• Adjusts welding generator to ensure proper voltage output.
• Selects electrode size and composition and mounts in holder.
• Repairs, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts as needed.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, or vertical positions.
• Cleans parts and inspects finished work for conformance to specs.
• Observes safety requirements and uses PPE as required.
