Job summary

Babcock & Wilcox in the United States seeks a Project Code Assistant Manager to support production and engineering by maintaining ASME code documentation for Watertube Boilers and unfired pressure vessels. You will create registries for S and R stamp projects and collaborate with QA, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure compliant code practices.

The role requires experience with ASME/NBIC codes, strong writing skills, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and project stakeholders

Qualifications

• 2 years of ASME pressure parts experience (Section I & Section VIII) preferred.
• 5 years of related work in production, construction, or engineering.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Experience with PLM or similar product lifecycle management software.
• Ability to read and interpret ASME Pressure Vessel Code.
• Ability to read NBIC references.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ASME Code documentation for Watertube Boilers and unfired pressure vessels.
• Develop and maintain NBIC R-2 Reports for alterations on existing boilers.
• Create and maintain B&W’s National Board registries for ASME “S” and NBIC “R” stamp projects.
• Participate in ASME/NBIC Joint Review certifications as needed.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Project Management, Technical Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and outside vendors on code-related affairs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
