Job summary

Felton Institute is seeking a Clinical Case Manager/Therapist (ASL Therapist) for the Deaf Community Counseling Services in the DCCS Program, Adult Division. You will provide direct services to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, and Late-Deafened clients, including therapy, case management, and crisis intervention, under supervision of the clinical Supervisor and reporting to the Program Manager.

Applicants must hold licensure (LCSW, MFT, LPCC) or be on track to full licensure; strong ASL

Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL and knowledge of Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing cultures.
• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology; licensure or on-track status.
• Comprehensive range of mental health and substance abuse counseling, assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely when needed, and cooperatively on a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of DSM-5.
• Valid CA Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to manage boundaries when transporting clients in a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and developing plan of care for clients to assigned caseload.
• Provide therapy, rehabilitation counseling, targeted case management, and crisis intervention.
• Document progress notes related to sessions with clients.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Attend training for professional growth.
• Attend outreach events, virtually or in person, and provide relevant presentations.
• Collaborate with DCCS clinical case managers, case managers, and psychiatrists.
• Engage with community and other service providers; share community resources as needed.
