Job summary

Avamere at Chestnut Lane in Gresham, OR is seeking an ASL Staff Interpreter for part-time and PRN coverage. Qualifications

• RID or BEI certification is required.
• Advanced capability in tactile ASL and close-vision interpreting.

Responsibilities

• Provide communication access between residents, staff and medical personnel using ASL, English, and tactile signing.
• Narrate visual and environmental information for Deaf Blind residents.
• Read and translate documents into accessible sign formats for residents.
• Collaborate with interpreters, care staff, and medical professionals to ensure consistent care.
