Open Sky Community Services is seeking a part-time ACCS Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing clients in Leominster and Worcester regions. The role involves interpreting for trainings, meetings, and clinical assessments, with occasional in-home or community-based interpretation and coordination with another interpreter as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, NIC certification with 2+ years ASL interpreting, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifikationen

• National Interpreter Certification (NIC) and 2 years ASL interpreting.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn and openness to opportunities.

Aufgaben

• Interpreting in person and virtual staff trainings and meetings.
• Interpreting for group gatherings between clients and staff during assessments.
• Travel to individuals' homes or community locations to interpret as needed.
• Collaborate with external interpreters for assignments requiring two interpreters.
• Educate trainers on providing a Deaf-friendly atmosphere at events.
