Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, ASL proficiency, and prior experience as a Language Facilitator, with the ability to read program plans and attend scheduled days on-site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in American Sign Language.
• Previous experience as a Language Facilitator.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with teachers and staff to meet student needs.
• Monitors comprehension and reinforces instruction as directed by teachers.
• Fosters classroom communication and student self-advocacy.
• Assists with duties that improve the classroom environment without hindering language facilitation.
• Performs other duties as assigned by St. Joseph County ISD Administration.
