Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC. in Clearwater, FL seeks a Team Manager - Practitioner to lead interpreting operations on the VRS platform while providing high-level ASL/English interpreting services and staff supervision.

You will oversee scheduling, performance reviews, and collaboration with HR, while ensuring client satisfaction and efficient operation across call centers, in-home, and community interpreting settings.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in American Sign Language and English with accurate interpreting skills.
• Must pass internal interpreting assessment.
• 20 hours per week on the VRS platform between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Mon–Fri.
• Associates degree in Business Management; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least three years of supervisory experience in an interpreting-related environment.
• Familiarity with FCC Regulations and RID standards.
• Knowledge of software used in department operations (IM Service, databases, spreadsheets, presentations, word processing).
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Budgeting and financial tracking skills.
• HR management and staff development abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide American Sign Language interpreting on the VRS platform.
• Oversee interpreting operations including call centers, at-home and community interpreting, CART, and video interpreting.
• Supervise approximately 35 interpreters and manage performance reviews.
• Coordinate with HR to hire interpreters and approve schedules.
• Maintain relations with local community leaders and clients.
• Provide reports on team performance, efficiencies, and quality.
• Work with Regional Manager on operations initiatives.
