Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC seeks an American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality ASL-English interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a degree in ASL or related field, RID/BEI/CDI certifications, and willingness to travel; remote or on-site assignments supported, with on-call hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in education, medical, community, or legal settings.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or a related field preferred.
• RID/BEI/CDI certifications (or equivalent) required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-English and English-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person settings.
• Facilitate communication across education, healthcare, legal, and community services.
• Utilize VRI and other tech for remote interpretation when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals and staff to ensure seamless communication.
