Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC seeks a skilled American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings. The role emphasizes ethical conduct, confidentiality, and collaboration with Deaf individuals and staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, ASL-English fluency, and relevant certifications, with flexibility for remote or on-site assignments and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field preferred.
• RID, BEI, or CDI certification(s) required or strongly preferred.
• Fluency in ASL and English with cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person meetings.
• Facilitate communication across education, healthcare, legal, and community settings.
• Utilize video remote interpreting and other tech to deliver remote services.
• Maintain confidentiality and RID Code of Conduct compliance.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals and staff to ensure seamless communication.
