Job summary

Cal Poly Humboldt's Campus Disability Resource Center seeks an Interpreter I, II A/B to provide sign language interpreting services for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in classroom and instructional settings.

The role involves adapting interpretation, supporting access to instruction, and performing highly complex interpreting functions at Interpreter II level, including platform settings and large-group contexts.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in voice-to-sign & sign-to-voice interpreting or transliterating; RID or NIC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and others in instructional settings.
• Interpret spoken English into sign language and vice versa; ensure accurate, culturally appropriate transmission.
