Job summary

Imperial Valley College is seeking a Professional Expert - Interpreter Coordinator to support the Disabled Student Programs & Services division. The role coordinates interpreter services, matches students with interpreters, and manages data for D/HH students, including no-show tracking and scheduling for ASL training programs.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, and interpreter certification; experience in a post-secondary setting is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of app. ASL interpreting exp in post-secondary setting.
  • Completion of an Interpreter Training Program certification.
  • Desirable: RID/California interpreter certification.

Responsibilities

  • Match students with interpreters and arrange captioning services.
  • Enter and maintain data on D/HH students; track no-shows.
  • Coordinate observation schedule for ASL/interpreter training program.
  • Handle admin tasks: schedules, timesheets, hiring forms, parking for interpreters.
  • Provide ASL interpreting in classroom, orientations, counseling, and events.
