Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics in Florida is seeking an ASL Interpreter to support deaf/hard of hearing students in a school setting. This part-time, 10 hours/week W-2 role offers dental and vision benefits and a competitive hourly rate of $38–$41.

The interpreter will facilitate communication among students, educators, and therapists, utilizing sign language, oral interpreting, real-time captioning, and other resources to ensure access to educational services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• NIC, RID, NAD, EIPA, or educator’s certificate required
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a deaf related field
• Experience in a similar position

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and educational staff using sign language, oral interpreting, real-time captioning, or other resources as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for facilitating communication between students who are deaf/hard of hearing and those individuals involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, real time captioning, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate hearing impaired students who are qualified to receive these services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or an educator’s certificate
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a deaf related field
