Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a full-time ASL Interpreter in Paris, TX to provide real-time interpretation across the school day, facilitating access to instruction and activities for an identified student. You will work closely with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to help the student engage in classroom discussions and peer interactions.

The role requires RID certification, strong ASL fluency, and collaboration in an educational setting, with benefits and professional support

Qualifications

• RID certification is required.
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred/accepted.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Strong ASL fluency and ability to interpret in real-time academic settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time ASL interpretation for all instructional periods and school-related activities.
• Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken language to facilitate communication.
• Support student access to upper-elementary academic content, including complex vocabulary and discussions.
• Prepare for sessions by reviewing lesson plans, materials, and subject-specific terminology.
• Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to support student success and IEP goals.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and student engagement while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support and interface with assistive technology, including FM systems, as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.
