Qualifications

• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse student backgrounds and commitment to equity-minded practice.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with two years of related professional experience, or Associate degree with six years of related experience, or CCC credential, or equivalent.
• Note: equivalency may be petitioned if transcripts do not match stated degrees.

Responsibilities

• Teach ASL courses on a part-time basis at Madera Community College campus and off-site locations.
• Use varied pedagogies and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Adhere to approved curriculum outlines and course objectives; evaluate student progress through tests and assignments.
• Provide course syllabi and maintain classroom records per District Policy.
• Submit timely grading and evaluation reports.
• Manage assignments across varied instructional settings and times; fulfill duties per Administrative Regulation 7122.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.
• Participate in ongoing equity-related initiatives.
